MEMKOR GUNMETAL-series SSDs deliver exceptional performance, capacity, and write endurance while maintaining unwavering resilience and data integrity. Engineered for harsh environments and mission-critical workloads, MEMKOR storage solutions provide the reliability and expansive capacity you need.


The MKX3XCF GUNMETAL XMC SSD is a rugged Switched Mezzanine Card (XMC) solution within MEMKOR’s end-to-end storage architecture. Supporting up to 8TB in industrial-temperature operation and optimized for VITA 20–compliant deployments, it delivers maximum storage density and performance with low SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) characteristics ideal for embedded defense and aerospace platforms.


MEMKOR XMC SSDs are available in both VITA 42.0 and VITA 61.0 compliant models, and can be easily modified to integrate seamlessly with nearly any manufacturer’s Single Board Computer (SBC).


MEMKOR XMC storage also gives system integrators a strategic platform advantage. By leveraging XMC for data storage, you can free up a valuable VPX slot for processing, I/O, RF payloads, AI acceleration, or other mission-critical functions when high storage capacity is not required. This enables more flexible system architectures and allows VPX backplanes to be optimized for performance and capacity.


Designed and built for extreme operating conditions, the MEMKOR XMC SSD delivers uncompromised performance and reliability. It incorporates all the advanced features of the GUNMETAL-series—including proprietary flash management, end-to-end data protection, Military-grade hardware encryption, secure erase, and write protection. 


KEY FEATURES:

Standard VITA 42.0 or VITA 61.0 Compliance: The MEMKOR XMC SSD meets or exceeds VITA 47 environmental requirements while maintaining the mechanical constraints of the VITA 42.0 form factor. This ensures rugged, dependable operation for mission-critical embedded systems.


Custom Fit Solutions: Every SBC platform can be different, MEMKOR offers customized XMC SSD configurations tailored to the specific mechanical, thermal, and electrical requirements of various manufacturers. Our expertise in adapting to unique keep-out zones, heat sinks, and board constraints ensures seamless integration into almost any 3U VPX SBC environment while maximizing capacity and reliability. Default models are VITA 20 heat sink compliant..


Optimized Performance: Leveraging advanced technology and industrial-grade 3K PEC, 50K PEC, or 60K PEC NAND, the XMC SSD Series delivers consistent, high-performance and high endurance operation across the full military temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).


Rugged Design and Build: With MEMKOR’s Military-grade, end-to-end SSD architecture, you can focus on the mission knowing your data is secure and protected.


All MEMKOR GUNMETAL series production units are fully tested beyond extended temperature range, in addition to 12-48 hours room temperature unit burn-in.


MEMKOR offers our customers a controlled Bill of Material (BOM), obsolescence management process to facilitate smooth qualification and increased product longevity.
