Ruggedized SATA Connectors

HiVibe Connector

HiVibe -  a SATA Connector ruggedized to perfection.


HiVibe is a drop-in replacement for a standard SATA connector, in the same footprint.


The standard SATA connector is typically rated for 6GRMS vibration level, and ~125-200 insertion/removal cycles. The traditional approach to address these limitations requires development effort and results in extra-hardware. 


MEMKOR, in collaboration with Amphenol Aerospace, introduced a solution - the HiVibe connector. Built on Micro-Hyberboloid technology, HiVibe is rated for more than 30gRMS and 20,000 insertion/removal cycles. To facilitate HiVibe deployment and minimize the cost, computer board mating right-angle or vertical receptacles fit in the mounting footprint of the equivalent standard SATA connectors.


The HiVibe connector eliminates the need for extra design effort and extra hardware to ruggedize SSDs with a standard SATA connector for vibration, shock, and insertion/removal cycles. Traditionally, a special adapter board had to be added to address these, and would be physically glued to the SATA SSD connector.


HiVibe is available as an option on any MEMKOR 2.5” SATA SSD.

Nebula Connector

MEMKOR also offers the option of a Smiths Interconnect Nebula Connector.


The Nebula connector utilizes hyperboloid contacts to achieve immunity to shock and vibration fretting. The Nebula connector supports up to 100,000 mating cycles and is rated for up to 30g vibration.


Nebula is available as an option on any Memkor 2.5” SATA SSD.
