Senior Technical Sales Executive

Position Overview

As a Senior Technical Sales Executive, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of defense customers, including prime contractors, integrators, and government entities. Leveraging your deep technical expertise in embedded military systems, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs, navigate complex procurement processes, and deliver tailored solutions that meet stringent military specifications (MIL-SPEC). This role requires a strong understanding of defense acquisition, compliance requirements, and the ability to position our products as integral to national security and defense readiness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key      defense contractors, system integrators, and government agencies, focusing on long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies, positioning our military-grade SSDs as the best-in-class solution for secure data storage      in mission-critical environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise on the technical aspects of SSD technology, including ruggedization, data encryption, FIPS      compliance, and TAA requirements, to assist customers in selecting the      right solutions for their applications.
  • Government Contracts & Procurement: Navigate the complexities of government    procurement cycles, RFIs, and RFPs, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and ITAR regulations.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Understand customer operational requirements and propose solutions that meet military standards for durability, security, and performance in extreme environments.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (engineering, product development, and marketing) to align product offerings with customer needs and provide feedback for future product development.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed on defense industry trends, DoD initiatives, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities and provide thought leadership to clients.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced knowledge of defense technologies and procurement processes preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in technical sales or account management, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of embedded systems, including secure storage solutions, military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461), encryption, and ruggedized hardware.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets,      with a consultative sales approach tailored to defense customers.
  • Compliance Familiarity: Knowledge of government procurement regulations (FAR, DFARS, ITAR) and experience with defense contracting processes.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including procurement officers and engineers.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive, strategic thinker capable of navigating the complexities of the defense market to deliver customized solutions to clients.
  • US Citizenship: Due to the nature of our customer base and government contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens.
